Oil on panel plein air painting
An oil on panel plein air study of the defunct power plant which is directly behind my studio. Built in the 1920's, the station visually serves as a reminder of the glory of the industrial age while it continues to crumble and decay. In the foreground a rusty, unused billboard juxtaposes nicely. I set up my easel in the back parking lot on a spring afternoon and did the painting in one sitting. It's 7"x5" and is available as an original.
